Circuit breakers automatically disconnect power when a short circuit fault is detected downstream or when the circuit becomes overloaded, exceeding the electrical cable current capacity. Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB) protect circuits between 16 amps to 3200 amps and are typically used as the main breaker in a switchboard or to power large equipment directly. Ideal for buildings or manufacturing sites where a higher demand for low voltage power is required.
