The Modicon M251 dPAC is part of the EcoStructure Automation Expert hardware controller range. It is an optimised dPAC controller that supports Modicon TM3 I/O catalog. The controller carries up to 488 discrete I/O channels, 114 analog I/O channels and 14 (7 local + 7 remote) Modicon TM3 expansion modules. It is a cost-optimized, low-footprint distributed controller based on the machine-specialized Modicon M251 PAC platform. It includes a 1GB/s Ethernet port, a dual port Ethernet field bus and supports Modbus/TCP, OPC UA and auto discovery. The controler is compatible with most Modicon TM3 I/O. It weighs 0.85kg (1.9lb). EcoStruxure Automation Expert is a new category of software defined automation, enabling next generation integrated architectures and Industry 4.0 solutions. It complies with IEC/EN 61131-2 (Edition 2 2007), UL508 (UL61010-2-201), ANSI/ISA 12.12.01-2007, CSA C22.2 No. 213, No. 142, E61131-2 and IACS E10 standards.
